Cabbage is a versatile vegetable that may be used raw or cooked. All the varieties are high in nutritive value. It is one of the most familiar members of the Brassica family that includes broccoli, Brussels sprouts, cauliflower and kale. Cabbage is extremely hardy and frost resistant. It should be planted as a fall crop in warm climates.
Each cabbage seed packet contains 2 grams of seed - about 225 seeds. Cabbage seeds may be saved for up to three years.
