With that said, our seeds are a favorite for many gardeners and we hope to be a part of your gardening experience, whether you are a master gardener or new to the joy of growing your own food.

Straight Eight Cucumber Early Snowball Cauliflower
This is a versatile slicing variety. The dark green fruits are known for their excellent flavor and texture. The cucumbers grow to about 8 inches long and 3 inches wide. This variety produces heavy yields of delicious cucumbers that are resistant to mosaic virus. 58 days. This wonderful fall crop produces large white heads. The plants are medium height with crumpled leaves. The plant produces one white or ivory 6 inch head that is often covered by the inner leaves. You may want to tie the large outer leaves over the head to assure that the cauliflower does not turn yellow. 55 days.

Black Zucchini (Black Beauty) Dwarf Blue Curled Kale
This classic zucchini is dark green and cylindrical. It produces an abundant harvest over a long period of time. It is a delicious squash with creamy colored flesh and very dark, almost black skin. Best edible size is around 6 inches long. This popular squash bears well throughout the summer. 62 days.

Packet size: 4.5 grams (approximately 25-30 seeds)
This variety produces compact plants about a foot tall. The blue-green curly leaves are delicious steamed or in salads. This is an excellent winter crop that withstands freezing temperatures. The flavor and texture are improved after a light frost. This is a slow bolting Scotch type of kale. 60 days.

Little Finger Carrots Bush Table Queen (Acorn) Squash
Originated in France, these little gourmet carrots develop color quickly. Pull when the root is about three inches long. These sweet, deep orange colored carrots can be grown in small spaces for high yields. Consider container gardening for these delicious carrots. Unlike commercial "baby" carrots that are simply cut from larger carrots, these real baby heirloom carrots are grown to be harvested when very small. 50 days. This vining type of squash produces dark olive green to almost black, deeply ribbed acorn shaped fruit. The orange-yellow flesh is firm, dry and sweet. This variety is very prolific and excellent for storing. This variety can be grown in the summer or fall in mild climates with great success. 85 days.
